Alta Vista 1st Day

First Day of School

Rosa on the bench at the playground behind the school. We stopped almost every day that the weather allowed to swing. That always started the day off in a fun and relaxing way.

I was excited that she got drawn in the lottery for Alta Vista Montesorri. Mrs. Engelbrecht was her teacher with Mrs. Jones as assistant. The class consisted of Pre-K and K; which meant that there were 3, 4 and 5 year olds working, playing and learning together.
Wow, it is hard that she will be gone all day in her own little discovery of the world. She is growing up and doesn't need me as much which is liberating and wonderful yet leaves me a little 'mama sad'. This 'growing up' is hard stuff!

I love seeing the little space where her tooth fell out days before the first day of school.
The kids looked very tired... maybe used to sleeping in late :)

This blog is to help me document and share my sweet little girl's life and adventures. She is growing up beautifully and oh so fast! She is now 6 and in the first grade. She has such a big heart: she loves life, school, her pets, family and friends. She has an amazing connection to Spirit, communicating with and sharing the light she experiences. Some of her favorite things are (in her words) : playing with my dogs, having so much fun at my school and mostly just my dogs.

It is a complete joy and pleasure to be her mom. I am so grateful!
